Tooble – Saving and sharing what you love on the Internet

Tooble is a new application that allows you to save links, photos and videos which we have drawn attention online. In a fairly intuitive visual can organize content in public or private directories and can share any of the links with other users quickly. What is most striking is the possibility of a component (widget) that can be installed on any web page to show the world what we are sharing.

I requested access less than a week ago on their home page, I invite you to do the same, since I have no invitation to share … For those who thought he had the last word with respect to social bookmarking … apparently not.

Nautilus: Preview icons

Nautilus, the file browser that comes installed by default in the GNOME environment, supports preview files when placed a cursor on the file’s icons. In the case of the videos, it shows a random frame on the icon, the first lines of the document in a text file or the actual preview image if a graph.

For Ubuntu there is a package called OpenOffice Thumbnailer with which also activates the preview icons of documents in the office suite from Sun. Only need to download the DEB file (from Launchpad) and install it by double clicking it. Once the session is restarted GNOME icons for OpenOffice.org files should appear with a preview of each document.

Apple stood exceptional in the Second Quarter results.

Apple: The company which made more profit than all manufacturers of mobile.

We are at the end of the second quarter and the big companies present their accounts. Though the telephone industry had a quite bad hit during this recession, the economic results indicate that many new models had been released by the major manufacturers of mobile phones.

In the United States the industry sold more than 65 billion in the last 6 months, of which 9.7% were clean benefits for companies. But who made the best? Yes, Apple. Of the total amount generated by the industry 32% belongs to Apple.

We can all see better figures in the chart released from iSmashPhone which represents income, profits and the share of profits from leading manufacturers. The findings are interesting and we see the apple as they are best converted into income gains.

For example Nokia has an income much higher than Apple or RIM, but the percentage gain is well below those of the two companies is that Nokia sells more terminals that RIM and Apple is not able to turn this immense amount of income more profit.

The final conclusion is drawn that is already known, Apple make money as no one knows him and despite him though. The conversion rate is very high profits and earn more by selling less, what a paradox.

GOM player, Best of the Best media Players.

It’s always good to have the best programs on our computer, to obtain the best performance. But, sometimes we can not have sophisticated application that meets what more than our need.

This is not the case with Gom Player, The most competitive media player for many familiar players. As Gom Player can be seen in its simple interface, but is one of the players which can support multiple format videos like AVI, MPG, MPEG, DAT, WMV, MP4, etc..

But that is not what makes it so fantastic. It has a built-in Player function which helps the users with Internet connection, called Codec Finder.

If we have internet connection and want to play a video which we have no audio or video codec installed in the computer, the player connects to web and find the appropriate codec, install it and in seconds you will be able to see your film or video. It is such a phenomenal player that includes an option, we reduces the trouble for searching for the driver on the internet and end up in downloading a virus to your pc.

In its official website, there is a section for skins that you can customize to your liking, there are a lot of different styles and which go down and clear, both as Gom Player Skins are completely free and are available at the official website.

If your pc can not support both memory usage of Windows Media Player or other players, Gom Player is your choice, light, fast service and search and free codecs automatically!, What else can we ask for?

Logos indicating the presence of “High Definition” Technology.

The logos that indicate the presence of  “High Definition”, a  Technical terminology that often puts us in some hype about the product. So sudden is the rapid evolution of technological systems. In fact, we are often familiar with many terms without knowing the full meaning, sometimes even the presence of a “technology” in new product that we are buying is considered as a fashion. If everyone is talking about high-definition television we tend to buy one which will have high-definition. But really for our own needs. It is necessary to search for the product which is more “fashionable” Or maybe it is better to understand a bit more of what the various “symbols or logos that are in products refer to? Well, then I suggest a small summary of the most important logos that are present in products.

What is HD? For HD, or High Definition, is the technology that gives better quality sound and high quality video, obviously the technology is often applied to other types of media player (audio-video) such as TVs, Blu – ray, etc.

Deepen: For high definition video systems, this means the increase in image resolution, which is to increase the number of pixels (dots of light) on the surface of the video, so you can get sharper images and more fluid, the coupling of this technology with others of different nature, gives the colors more “alive” and real. A normal TV resolution “standard” usually has a resolution of 720 x 576 pixel screens with High Definition system having a resolution of 1280 x 720 can now reach up to 1920 x 1080, and undoubtedly much higher. The main difference, however, is not only by pixel but also from a different system of “writing” of the pixels themselves.

The marks that we can find in high-definition systems are: 720p, 1080i, 1080p (the “i” stands for interlaced and the “p” stands for “progressive”).

Here are the logos for high-definition:

The logos of High Definition HD Ready:

This indicates that the contents are displayed in 720 lines, the TV equipped with this system accept HD video formats 720p and 1080i but can not display full-resolution content from the art of 1080p. A TV showing this symbol should be a widescreen and must have a component analog and HDMI connection.

HD Ready 1080p: This logo indicates that the system supports the HD-ready and also the most advanced format with 1920 x 1080 pixels. The presence of this technology include among others another very important factor, the image is displayed with a time of playing lower, thus facilitating the flow of the video.

HDTV or HD TV: This symbol indicates a television that, in addition to possessing the qualifications required by the HD Ready logo, is fitted with a digital terrestrial HDTV tuner (MPEG 4 – H264). This means that you can receive and display HD content without necessiriamente connect an external decoder. The abbreviation HDTV 1080p has the same meaning of the logo HDTV, also supports the full High Definition (Full HD) resolution with 1920 x 1080 and a 24p content (ie movies on Blu-ray Disc).
