OpenShot Video Editor, nonlinear video editing in Linux

It is usually easy to find applications for video editing that are simple to use but at the same time end result should the time spent on it. Quality of the  O/P file should be of acceptable quality. But, Video Editor OpenShot is one step closer to our goal, that too a perfect tool for Linux.

Although it is not a final version, this application  offers a wide range  of features including support of multiple tracks at a same time, the ability to add watermarks flies, crop, resize or split the Videos.

OpenShot Video Editor enables creation of titles and sequences of images, all integrated with Gnome, which provides support for drag and drop. Therefore, the interface is very simple and easy for most users.

The main novelty of the latest version is that the author has created a number of DEB packages installable in various versions of Ubuntu, so no longer need to compile files using different applications. The packages are offered for Ubuntu 8.04, Ubuntu 8.10 and Ubuntu 9.04, both at 32 or 64 bits.
