PBC has no history,
but we believe we have a long way to go

Our Story

The Public Bureau of Cybersecurity was born from a simple, urgent realization: cybersecurity is too expensive, too complicated, and too out of reach for most people.

While big companies have teams of experts protecting their systems, everyday people—families, community organizations, and small businesses—are left vulnerable. When they fall victim to scams, identity theft, or online harassment, they often have nowhere to turn.

We saw that gap and stepped in.

PBC was founded to bring cybersecurity back to the public. We are a nonprofit driven by the belief that digital safety is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. We combine expert knowledge with empathy and public service, providing help that’s accessible, understandable, and focused on real lives, not just data.

We’re building something different: a trusted resource where people can get help, ask questions, and learn how to protect themselves in an increasingly complex digital world.

This is cybersecurity for everyone. This is the Public Bureau.
